While most breweries around town provide some sort of food to accompany their beers in the taproom, Black Abbey Brewing Co. has always depended on a rotating selection of food trucks to add eats to their drinks. Located behind 100 Oaks at 2952 Sidco, Black Abbey has never had many convenient dining options, so it’s thoughtful that they offer some food choices.
But from March 8-30, Black Abbey is taking their food game to an entirely new level. They’ve partnered with chef Tiffany Curtiss of Cast to establish a residency with consistent food offerings for the back half of the month. Chef Curtiss has converted a former F1 racing trailer into a rolling commercial kitchen that will be on premise and open for serving whenever the taproom is open — 3:30-8 p.m. every day. The massive 70-foot trailer requires a semi to haul it around since it weighs in at almost 20 tons. Curtiss has traveled across the country to set up mobile kitchen services in California wineries, but this is the first time she’s partnered with a brewery.
